What is Afilas?
Afilas Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing and Medical Services S.C. was established in June 2017 by a group of committed, visionary, team-oriented, and considerate health science and related scholars who have lived the experiences of the community that we stand to serve. Because of the above-mentioned motive, the word “AFILAS” was selected from the Saban language, which means “the voice of scholars is heard.” (In Amharic, “የእውቀት ድምጽ ተሰማ ወይም የአዋቂዎች ድምጽ ተሰማ” ማለት ነው።) We strongly believe that professional experts should address every professional practice.
The first business firm of Afilas, which opened in January 2018, was Afilas Health Center, which grew into Afilas General Hospital (AGH). The hospital is now one of the best healthcare destinations in the Amhara National Regional State (ANRS).
In 2022, we opened our second business firm, Afilas Pharmaceuticals Wholesale (APW) and we have opened Afilas diagnostics center in 2026.
